Callum Crawley has converted his pole position to a race win in a thrilling ITM NZ Formula Ford Championship race at Manfeild.

The drama unfolded very early on in the race as Blake Evans was launched into the air at the first corner. This left him stranded in the gravel trap unable to finish the race. Kaleb Ngatoa fell off the road in sympathy too.

Meanwhile it was on for young and old at the front, with Crawley, Thomas Boniface and Billy Frazer all duking it out in a ding battle for the lead of motor race. The dynamic battle saw the trio trading positions every corner!

By the time the final lap approached Crawley looked like he had a comfortable lead to Boniface, but a mega run and a bold move by the later saw him close up incredibly on the eventual race winner. Boniface would finish second by a mere 0.106s with Frazer third, 0.286s behind.

Ronan Murphy and James Penrose engadged in a heated battle during the race, with Murphy beating home Penrose on track before receiving a penalty which place the youngster infront of the series leader. The pair placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Ngatoa placed sixth after Zak Stitchbury recieved a penalty for his involvement in the turn one place was was relagated to seventh.

Cameron Tanner took eighth place over Jordan Mountfort with Keith Miller finishing tenth.
