James Penrose will start off pole position for tomorrows opening race of the 2019/20 ITM NZ Formula Ford Championship at Pukekohe Park. Whilst Billy Frazer set the fastest lap of the session, he was later disqualified for a technical infringement and will start from the rear of the grid.
second fastest in the relatively trouble free 20-minute session was Zac Stichbury in his Mygale ahead of Spectrum duo, Kaleb Ngatoa and Ronan Murphy. Brody McConkey lead a Mygale trio of himself, Thomas Boniface and Blake Evans in fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Cameron Tanner and Alex Hawley finished eighth and ninth overall, but second and third in Class 2. Bailey Paterson rounded out the top ten with Jordan Mountfort 11th.
Callum Crawley struck trouble as his session was cut short due to a electrical failure which meant he was unable to continue after only setting one lap which was only good enough for 12th. Keith Miller and Andrew McInnes will start from 13th and 14th respectively.
